Ruth Martin Stone, 85, of Stephenville, passed away, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in Stephenville.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 14, at 3:00 P.M. at Stephenville Funeral Home with Don Parker officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home
Ruth was born on May 4, 1930 in Erath County, Texas, to the late Raymond Ross and Emma Virginia Walker Danner. She married Roswell M. Martin on May 28, 1947 in Stephenville. Roswell preceded her in death on December 30, 1967. In March of 1991 Ruth married Jerl Stone. Ruth work several years as a bookkeeper for Shannon Supply Company, and as a teller a Town and Country Bank (Interbank). She was a lifelong resident of Stephenville and a member of Graham Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Jerl Stone; daughter, Debby and Ray Pack of Stephenville; son, David and Rose Martin of Dublin; stepsons, Steve and Carla Stone of Archer City, Leslie and Michelle Stone of Woodson, Barry and Kaye Stone of Stephenville; grandchildren, Chad Pack and Paul Dittrich, Chance and Kasie Pack, Colby and Kara Pack, Emily and Tyler Howle, Kristia and Stephen Colby, Todd and Jessica Philips, Cheryl and Jeremy VanDyke; step grandchildren, Christy and Brad Beauchamp, Justin and Beth Stone, Shelby and Jessica Stone, Aaron and Emily Stone, Austin and Leah Stone; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, and her first husband, Roswell Martin; Ruth was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert Danner and Joe Danner; and a sister, Sue Cole Fincher.
