DUBLIN (April 15, 2016) – Registration has opened for the Friday, June 3, Ben Hogan Legacy Golf Tournament which will be held for the first time at Legends Country Club in Stephenville.

The annual Hogan Legacy event is hosted by the Ben Hogan Museum, located in Mr. Hogan’s childhood home of Dublin. Proceeds benefit the museum’s expansion program.

This year’s Texas Scramble will be highlighted by two hole-in-one contests. The post-tournament contest is for a 2017 Masters package which includes airfare, lodging and four-day tickets for two people. The in-tournament contest will award a new Chevy Spark, donated by Bruner Chevrolet, to the hole-in-one winner.

Activities kick off at 10:30 a.m. at Legends, located on Ben Hogan Dr., with a free golf clinic hosted by Jennifer Alexander, LPGA Class A teaching pro from Las Vegas. The Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company will be on hand to demonstrate the new Hogan irons, wedges and hybrids which were just introduced at the 2016 PGA show in Orlando.

Lunch is set for noon, followed by tee off at 1 p.m. The hole-in-one contest for the Masters package will be held at the conclusion of the tournament, followed by dinner, live entertainment, speakers, trophy presentations and an auction.

The Dublin museum is the only Ben Hogan Museum in the world. It has been developed with the assistance of the Ben Hogan Foundation, headquartered at Shady Oaks Country Club in Fort Worth, and the Hogan family.

The legacy series kicked off in 2010 with the Cow Pasture Golf Classic, held at the old Dublin-DeLeon Golf Course which closed at the start of World War II. It was the site of Mr. Hogan’s last amateur win before he turned pro at the age of 17. The event was played five years at the cow pasture on Highway 6 and then grew into last year’s tournament at PAR Country Club, an event which attracted Hall of Famer Bruce Devlin, a close friend of Mr. Hogan’s, and Steve Elkington who plays on the PGA Tour.
