STEPHENVILLE (June 21, 2016) — The Abilene Reporter-News honored four Stephenville softball players with spots on its All-Big Country roster.
Sophomore pitcher Julia Flores won more games than any Honeybee in a single season before her and was named to the “Bull Pen” on the All-Big Country team, while senior all-state second baseman Kali Smith, junior third-baseman Nadine Arredondo and junior short stop Sami Shaffer were each tabbed as honorable-mention selections.
The Honeybees racked up a school-record 25 wins while winning their first district championship and first area championship. They also soared to a program-best No. 7 in the Texas Girls Coaches Association 4A state poll.
