James Monroe Latham, Jr., born March 4, 1926 in Hico, Texas to parents James and Cora (Bullard) Latham, Sr. passed away in Waco, Texas, July 10, 2016 at the age of 90. James also known as “Jim” to family and friends, loved his cows, garden and messing with his tractors, playing golf , and visiting with all his family. James served his country in WWII in the US. Army, was a plumber supervisor and a member of Union Local 100. James was also known as a great dad and his family loved him very much. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Freeda May Latham, son Johnny Glenn Latham, brothers, Garland Bullard Latham, Walter Latham and wife Bernnie, aunt Francis Atlwood and husband Royce. Surviving James are four sons, Buster A. Latham of Hico, Eugene Latham of Ben Wheeler, Paul Latham and wife Janie of Carlton, David E. Latham of Ben Wheeler, two granddaughters Tina Gray and Shannon Gray of Seven Points, one grandson, Kenneth A. Latham of Carlton, step granddaughter Cynthia A. Hallmark and husband Michael of Stephenville. James is also survived by five great grandsons and eight great granddaughters.
