Stephenville – Services for Cavin James, 49, a salesman for Southcross Energy, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at Erath County Cowboy Church with Rev. Jimmy Holloman officiating and Rev. Werth Mayes assisting. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Lacy Funeral Home.
Cavin was born in Seagraves to Gean James and Alberta Mae( Hibbitts) James.
He was known for his friendliness, humor, and ability to charm and converse with anyone about any subject. Cavin was always ready to give a helping hand and was beloved by his many friends. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stephenville and was also a member of the PRCA- Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association.
Survivors include his wife Stacey James of Stephenville; children, Tristen James and wife, Trish of Jeanerette, LA., Ben Noland and wife, Tena of Midland, Daniel Noland of Waco; grandchildren, Taryn James, Troy Noland, Mattea Noland; parents Gean Lesley and Alberta James of Franklin, LA.; brothers, Cody James and wife, Diane, and Cary James and wife, Crystal of Centerville, LA.; in-laws, Dan and Sharon Malone of Stephenville; sister-in-law Lisa Thompson of Frisco and nieces, Brittany, Brooke, Morgan, Nikki, and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
