STEPHENVILLE (July 21, 2016) — The Flash Today is proud to welcome a new staff member with a familiar face around the Stephenville community.

David Swearingen, a 38-year Stephenville resident, joins The Flash as a photojournalist working community news events and more as assigned. The Flash is a natural fit for Swearingen, who has long photographed public events in and around Stephenville.

“David is excited to be able to expound on one of his great passions – the faces of the community of Stephenville,” said Flash publisher Jessie Horton. “We are excited to utilize David’s talent and love of Stephenville in furthering our coverage of community news and events.”

Swearingen is beginning right away, providing coverage of the Asleep At The Wheel concert Thursday night at Birdsong Amphitheater in Stephenville City Park. Swearingen says through the years he has attended all but one concert in the TexStar Ford Summer Concert Series.
