(July 25, 2016) — Dublin header Blaine Vick and Stephenville heeler Jim Ross Cooper won the finals and jumped to the top of the average at the Snake River Stampede in Nampa, Idaho, earning more than $6,000 at the event.
That was just part of a big week by local cowboys on the PRCA trail, including the recent heater of Stephenville tie-down roper Chase Williams, who raced to second in the finals and third overall to win more than $4,700 at legendary California Rodeo Salinas. Williams is also sitting second in the average entering the final day at Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo in Spanish Fork, Utah, and is the current first-round leader with an impressive 10.3 at prestigious Cheyenne Frontier Days in Wyoming.
Stephenville header Kaleb Driggers, who entered last week fifth in the PRCA world standings, and heeling partner Junior Nogueira picked up more than $2,700 by splitting second and third in the first round at Nampa, and are currently leading the average at Spanish Fork.
Stephenville heeler Cole Davison earned a big payday at Salinas, joining header Dustin Egusquiza to place fourth in the finals and third in the average with 49.3 seconds on five head, worth almost $5,000.
