STEPHENVILLE (July 25, 2016) – The Tarleton Recreation Crew is in the final week of their third week of Rec Kidz Camp. The camp is being held in the TSU Rec Sports Center and it is open to kids ages 6 – 12. The camp is a 5-day event with hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the fun concludes on Friday.
The following is a written statement from TSU Recreational Sports Director, Robert Nimmo.
“Tarleton Recreational Sports has hosted a 3 week series of Rec Sports Kidz Camp. There has been around 230 kids attending the camps in total. The campers engage in such activities as rock climbing, fitness and wellness classes, gym games, and daily swimming at the Tarleton Swimming Pool. As a reward, on Fridays we reward the kids for their outstanding behavior with camp awards, a water slide, and a hot dog cook out. Parents and guardians have stopped by to show the campers that we appreciate how well they have acted and how we are thankful to have them at the camp. We would like to thank each camper, counselor, and professional staff member that has been involved in another successful year of summer camp.”
