Wilma Doris Morton, a Loving & Devoted wife, mother and “MeMaw”, went to be with her LORD on July 31, 2016 at her residence at the age of 93 years, 5 months and 14 days. She was the daughter of Meddie Everett Herron and Buelah Grace (Jeffery) Herron. She was united in marriage to Robert L. Morton on November 1, 1941 in Abilene, Texas and to this union 7 children were born. She was preceded in death by her daughter – Bobby Gayle Morton in 1973, her husband on December 29, 2000 and her son – Jim Morton in 2011.

Doris is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law; Charles & Phyllis Morton of Wiley, Texas, Sam & DeNella Morton of Early, Texas, Lee & Ada Morton of Plano, Texas and Dr. Tim & Dr. Rebecca Morton of Ft. Worth, Texas; her daughter & fiance – Jeanette Huber & Barry Smith of Dublin, Texas; her sister – Meddie Grace Rollins of Santa Anna, Texas; her daughter-in-law – Barbara Morton of Tahoka, Texas; her 15 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Doris was a retired teacher’s aid of 23 years and an active member of the First Methodist Church in Dublin since 1966.
