DUBLIN (August 19, 2016) — The Dublin Lions rode the arm – and even the legs – of senior quarterback Brady Moore past Frost, 5-4, in the final preseason scrimmage for each squad at Memorial Stadium Friday.
Moore got the Lions off to a strong start with touchdowns passes of 70, 35 and 70 yards along with a 70-yard TD sprint to help the Lions to a dominating four touchdowns to none lead after controlled play. Frost rebounded to outscore the Lions 4-1 in game simulation, when Dublin also yielded a safety. The Lions did have find the end zone a second time in live action, but it was called back for a penalty.
Dublin now prepares for its annual season-opening rivalry battle with nearby Hico. The teams are meeting in Stephenville to play at Tarleton’s Memorial Stadium at 7:30 p.m. next Friday, August 26.
