STEPHENVILLE (August 26, 2016) – School may be back in session, but summer fun is ongoing in Stephenville. Splashville, the city’s water park, is inviting swimmers to dive into it first-ever extended season.
In the past, the facility closed its doors at the beginning of the school year, but C.V. Verastigue, aquatics coordinator, said Splashville will be open every Saturday and Sunday through the end of September.
Hours of operation and admission fees will not change. Verastigue said the facility will be open 12(noon) until 7 p.m. each Saturday and 1-6 p.m. on Sundays. General admission is $5.50 per person and reduced rates for children, senior citizens and twilight swimmers will still apply.
“Season passes will still be valid,” Verastigue added.
The city is also offering special savings on Labor Day, September 5, and Patriot Day, September 11.
The facility be open 2-7 p.m. Labor Day, a Monday, with an admission fee if $2 per person and chances at door prizes and other giveaways. On Patriots Day, swimmers who bring a friend will pay just $1.
Verastigue said the concession stand will remain open through the extended season, and patrons can enter the facility with a cooler in tow with a $10 cooler pass. She also said the pavilion can be rented during regular swimmer hours for groups and parties.
