Lingleville overpowers Rising Star

STEPHENVILLE (September 17, 2016) — Lingleville (2-2) rolled back into the win column Friday evening, blowing out Rising Star, 60-14.

Tom VanKranenburg passed for 144 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for two more scores, and he wasn’t the only Cardinal to post big numbers.

Devon Corpus rushed for 135 yards and three scorers, and Chase Carlson ran for 108 yards, and added 22 yards and two touchdowns receiving.

“(The) boys came out showing max levels of confidence and determination,” said Lingleville head coach Troy Sparks. “They were hungry for a win and achieved that mission. (I’m)  proud of how hard they played.”

Lingleville visits Zephyr next Friday.
