Santa Claus comes to town Saturday

ERATH COUNTY (November 10, 2016) – You better watch out. You better not pout… That’s right Santa Claus is coming to town. The jolly old soul is making an early appearance in Stephenville to help families get prepared for Christmastime.

Children of all ages will enjoy each of the magical moments, including photographs with Santa Claus, mingling with Mrs. Claus, decorating Christmas cookies, the sights and sounds of the holiday season and more.

The event, organized by Parks Hills Technology & Marketing, is being held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. this Saturday, November 12, at The Cage House, located at 194 East Long Street in Stephenville. Reservations are not needed.

While children have the opportunity to write letters to send to the North Pole and color holiday scenes, Santa’s helpers at Sugar Mamas Couture Confections will provide a sampling of cookies to eat and decorate. Plus, the one-stop Christmas cookie prep shop will have kits available for purchase and holiday orders will be taken.

Texas Homegrown Radio will play holiday music throughout the day.

Photographs atop the lap of Santa Claus will include a beautiful backdrop of decorations assembled by Polly’s Porches & Designs and arrangements can be made to have the decorating pros deck the halls and adorn the tree at your home.

In addition to Santa photos, group pictures outside of The Cage House will be available for families, groups, teams and businesses. Professional images will be taken by Alex Shelley Photography.

Santa portrait session are $30 plus tax and include a 4×6 print professional grade print generated onsite, digital image for personal use and frames for the first 400 sessions. Additional prints will be available for $7 each and editing and fine art print ordering will be offered for an added fee.

Group and family portraits will be available for $79 each plus tax and include a professionally edited high-grade image with reprint rights.

Photo sessions must be paid in cash, onsite.

To make the sending of holiday greeting easier, Quality Printing will be onsite to design your Christmas cards and receive your orders.

All attendees who bring a new, unwrapped toy will receive a $5 discount off of their total orders, and a portion of proceeds from the event will be donated to local Christmas giving projects.

“We had organized this event to give back to area Christmas projects,” Amber Parks, co-owns Parks Hill Technology & Marketing alongside her husband Craig said. “We also want to help make this Christmas a memorable one for area families by sharing the magic of the season.”

In addition to onsite professionals and vendors, the magical moment is also made possible by Smith Garage Doors, The Purple Cactus, Hambone’s Redneck Paradise and Cody Brister Construction.

The event will go on rain or shine, but it will be moved to City Limits in the case of inclement weather.
