STEPHENVILLE (December 7, 2016) — Dublin’s boys (6-1) continued their impressive start Tuesday evening with a 83-74 victory over Archer City.

Brady Moore amassed 30 points and Rayce Jackson poured in 24 to lead the Lions. The seniors are combining for 45 points per game, according to head coach Will Parker. Dublin won its home tournament last weekend, and it’s only loss came in overtime at 4A Stephenville.

Dublin has been running and gunning all season, but rarely like the second quarter Tuesday evening, when the Lions exploded for 28 points to break a tie at the end of the first quarter and take a 43-32 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The big second quarter allowed the Lions to keep Archer City at arm’s length the rest of the way as Dublin won its fifth straight.

Gabe Garcia gave the Lions a third double-digit scorer with 12 points, while Jeremiah Martinez netted eight, Tim Teten four, Brayden Burleson two, Josh Hanes two and Tyshon Hopkins one.

Dublin is competing in tournament play in Hamilton Thursday through Saturday.
