(December 10, 2016) — Stephenville’s girls and Dublin’s boys are each in tournament championship games today.
Stephenville battles host and district mate Midlothian Heritage in a tournament final at 5:30 p.m. at Heritage high school. The Honeybees earned their trip to the final by winning tight pool play games on Friday – 49-48 over Fort Worth Chisholm Trail and 44-42 over Bridgeport in a rematch from the area round of last season’s playoffs.
Stephenville began pool play with a pair of Thursday blowouts – 50-26 over Fort Worth Paschal and 41-14 over Ferris.
Dublin meets Lampasas at 7:30 p.m. in the final of tournament play in Hamilton. The Lions beat Llano, 99-65, on Thursday and Whitney, 64-46, on Friday.
