FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel.

BURIAL: Oakwood Cemetery

ROSARY: 6:00 P.M on Tuesday, December 13, at the funeral home.

VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

LUNCH: Lunch for the family will be at Comanche Community Center following the funeral services.

Josephine Salinas, age 67, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016, in Comanche County, Texas.

She was born on August 27, 1949, in Mission Valley, Texas, to Anastacio and Victoria (Reyna) Sanchez. On July 14, 1969, she was united in marriage to Amando Cruz Salinas in Comanche. For many years Josie worked at Comanche Community Hospital in many capacities, and as an LVN at Comanche Community Home Health office. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved nothing more than caring for her family and babysitting her grandchildren and many other youngsters and if there was any free time left over, she loved to dance. Josie was strong, loving and cheerful, and will be greatly missed. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Amando Salinas of Comanche; sons, Andrew Salinas of Comanche, Adrian Salinas of Indiana, and Francisco Salinas and wife Dana of Katy; daughter, Esmeralda Cumba and husband Steven of Comanche; grandchildren, Josh Salinas, Colt Salinas, Dalton Salinas, Hagen Salinas, Jaycee Salinas, Reagan Salinas, Mia Cumba, Jordyn Cumba, Garrett Cumba, Devin Salinas, and Pitch Thiebaud; great granddaughter Hazley Cumba; brothers, Jr. Sanchez and wife Mary Ann of Comanche, Domingo Sanchez of Oregon; sisters, Victoria Guerrero and husband Rudy of Comanche, Janie Esparza and husband John of Austin, Natividad Lopez of Lubbock, Valentina Lopez and husband Rufus of Granbury, Avelina Trinidad of Comanche, Helen Martinez of Bryan, Santos Castillo and husband Domingo of New Mexico, and Felicita Gandara of Temple; numerous nieces and nephews, and a multitude of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Fortino Sanchez, Sr. and Martin Sanchez, Sr. and wife Inez; sisters, Mary Villanueva and husband Edwardo, Martina Cruz and husband Robert; and brothers-in-law, Efrain Lopez, Richard Martinez, and Epifanio Gandara.
