Donna Lou Matthews , age 68 passed away December 12, 2016, peacefully after a short battle with cancer. She was born April 24, 1948.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She always thought of others needs before her own. She loved being outside working in the yard and projects around the house to make it beautiful. Her true passion was her grandchildren whom she spent numerous days entertaining and spoiling.
Prior to moving to Hico recently, she resided in Granbury, Texas for 25 years.
Donna was preceded in death by her father B.F. Matthews and brother B.L. Matthews.
Donna is survived by husband of 51 years, Travis Matthews, son Ken Matthews and wife Stacie, daughter Kim Ward and husband Scotty, daughter Cindy Wilson and husband Casey. Mother Dorothy Matthews, sister Bev Hall and husband Larry, sister Doris Blackwell . Donna is also survived by Grandchildren; Alan, Anna, Aylssa, Andrew, Destinee, Morgan, Cameron, Colby, Clayton, and Emily as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Service Information
The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, at the Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 16, at Grace Bible Fellowship, located at 111 W. First Street in Hico, with burial to follow at the Cope Cemetery, located at 2728 Dave Angel Road in Burelson.
