(December 17, 2016) — Emmy Rodriguez continues to rain 3-pointers and her teammates continue to prove that No. 4 Huckabay is a well-balanced machine that can hurt foes many ways.

No. 4 Huckabay had four double-digit scorers in its latest blowout victory, 87-50 over Strawn, in 18-A district play Friday evening. Rodriguez buried a season-high eight 3-pointers, marking the the third time in the last five games she’s knocked down at least six. She added a free throw to score 25 points, while Presli Bray and Kailin Dowell each added 19 and Trinity Meador netted 11.

Brenna Yarbrough added six points for Huckabay, while Ciara Philips, Madison Pearson and Tiffany Lopez contributed two each.

Huckabay (14-2, 2-0) is off Tuesday because Moran does not have enough girls to compete. The Huckabay varsity boys open district at Moran at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
