Merry Carolyn Cowan born November 20, 1934 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents Edward and Mary (Kushner) Strode, passed away in Hico, Texas December 20, 2016 at the age of 82 years. Merry enjoyed reading, stamp collecting, eating peppers and playing word games like Parcheesi. Preceding Merry in death were her parents, husband James Cowan, daughters Carol Ann Vorlyk and Sherry Lynn Izell. Surviving Merry are one daughter Merry Elizabeth Cowan, two sons James Edward Cowan and Brain Albert Cowan.
Service Information
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on January 12, 2017 at the Carlton Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Carlton Cemetery.
