(December 28, 2016) — Brady Moore stayed on fire Wednesday. So did the Dublin Lions.
Moore hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 10 seconds remaining to lift Dublin past Albany, 71-69, in an early morning affair, then the senior standout poured in 24 points including 15 in the fourth quarter of a 71-62 victory over host Breckenridge in tournament action at BHS.
Moore also had nine points against Breckenridge in the second quarter, when Dublin outscored the Buckaroos 22-8 to take the lead for good. The Lions trailed, 19-14, after the first, before the second-quarter surge gave them a 36-27 lead at intermission.
Dublin is on to tournament semifinal action at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Albany had one final shot at the end of the early contest, but missed and Dublin held on. Moore and junior Rayce Jackson each scored 17 in that one, with Brayden Burleson added 16. Jackson added 21 to Moore’s 24 against Breckenridge.
Dublin is 13-4 on the season with four straight wins over the opening two days of the tournament. The Lions defeated Jacksboro, 83-64, and Cisco, 84-64, on Tuesday. Moore scored 97 total points in the four wins.
