Marvin E. Moore, 100, of San Angelo, formerly of Comanche, passed away, Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in San Angelo. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00am, Friday, January 20, 2017 at Comanche Funeral Home, 411 West Grand St., Comanche, TX. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. Local arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Marvin was born October 26, 1916 in Fisk, TX, the son of the late William Levi Moore and Laura Camp Moore. He went to high school in Coleman County and later graduated from Daniel Baker College in Brownwood, Texas with a Bachelor of Science. On December 26, 1950, he married Byrlene Lawless in Brownwood. Marvin served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He and Byrlene taught school for many years in Comanche and surrounding areas. In 1973, he retired from the Comanche ISD. Marvin was an avid Texas Rangers fan. He was a great role model for the pupils he taught as well as nephews and niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, W.A. “Pete” Moore; Clifford Moore; J.H. Moore; Joe David Moore; two sisters, Katie B. Moore and Ursula Moore.
