STEPHENVILLE (January 19, 2017) — Tarleton State hosts West Texas A&M Thursday and UT-Permian Basin Saturday in Lone Star Conference play. Here’s a look ahead to the women’s games from Tarleton Athletic Communications:

THE GAME
Tarleton is coming off a home win against Texas Woman’s on Thursday and looks to build on the win and continue to climb the LSC standings with home games against West Texas A&M and UT-Permian Basin. The TexAnns will host the Lady Buffs on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 5:30 p.m. and UTPB on Saturday at 2 p.m.

GAME DAY PROMOTIONS
Tarleton Athletics is hosting Mineral Wells night on Thursday as well as hosting the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders in the main lobby for the game against West Texas A&M. Saturday will be Pack it Purple.

TARLETON SPORTS NETWORK
A complete broadcast of the games can be heard on the Tarleton Sports Network presented by the North Texas Ford Dealers. The new Voice of the TexAnns, Kyle Crews, will have the call on the flagship station of Tarleton Athletics – KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville – and worldwide at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive.

TICKET INFORMATION
Tickets are available at the Wisdom Gym Ticket Office. General admission seating is $7 for adults and $5 for non-Stephenville Campus Tarleton Students. Children ages two and under are admitted free of charge. Tarleton Athletics also promotes ‘Reserved Ticket Exchange’, which allows any reserved ticket holder not planning to attend the game to leave their seats to someone else by calling Beth at (254) 968-1832 in the Tarleton Ticket Office.

INSIDE THE SERIES: WEST TEXAS A&M
Tarleton and West Texas A&M have met 43 times since the series started back in 1995. WT leads the all-time series 35-9 and is 14-7 in Wisdom Gym against the TexAnns. Tarleton’s last win over WT came on Feb. 20, 2016 when Wilson’s TexAnns knocked off No. 13-ranked WT, 53-52 in Wisdom Gym.

INSIDE THE SERIES: UT-Permian Basin
Tarleton and UT-Permian Basin began their series back in 2004 and the TexAnns are 9-2 against the Falcons in that span. Tarleton has won the last two meetings over UTPB and is 7-0 all time at home against the Falcons. The last four games have been decided by five points or less, in which Tarleton is 2-2 in those games. The TexAnns have won two straight against UTPB.
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
After playing four straight games at home, Tarleton will travel to Cameron and Midwestern State on Jan. 26 and 28.
