STEPHENVILLE (January 26, 2017) — First time freshmen interested in applying for Fall 2017 admission to Tarleton State University will need to complete their application soon.

Tarleton has announced a priority application deadline of March 1 for first time freshmen. Students submitting their application after March 1 and meeting freshman admission standards will only be able to enroll at Tarleton in Fall 2017 on a space available basis.

“We are carefully managing the number of first-time freshmen that we admit,” said Dr. Javier Garza, assistant vice president for Enrollment Management. “We want to ensure that the students who enroll at Tarleton receive the same excellent educational experience that has placed Tarleton among the fastest growing universities in the state of Texas.”

Garza further noted that “Tarleton increasingly appeals to those seeking a student-focused university that provides a friendly, safe and inclusive community where students can achieve their goals while engaging in applied, real-world learning experiences.”

Applications and admissions are running well ahead of last year’s pace, when a record 2,169 first-time freshmen were admitted.

Students interested in being a member of the Fall 2017 Tarleton freshman class are invited to contact one of the admissions professionals at 254-968-9125 or uadm@tarleton.edu.
