Loveda Brown born December 18, 1931 in Wildcat Community, Texas to parents Eddie Ray and Masie (Jenkins) Brown, passed away in Waxahachie, Texas February 22, 2017 at age 85. Loveda loved to garden her church and enjoyed her career as a school teacher. Loveda obtained her Master’s Degree in Library Science. Preceding Loveda in death are her parents, husband Joe Parker, sister Eddie Lee Simons, daughter in-law Bonnie Brown. Surviving Loveda are son, Luther Brown, grandson Jonathan Wade and wife Lynocy, granddaughter Tiffany Eagles and husband Dennis. Loveda is also survived by three great grandchildren, sisters, Rosa Lee Maxey, Minnie Laura Kosch, and a host of extended family members and friends.
Service Information
The family will receive visitors from noon until 1 p.m. on Monday, February 27, at the Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico. Chapel services will follow at 1 p.m. in the Harvest Hills Funeral Chapel, located at 118 Second Street in Hico. Burial will follow in the Carlton Cemetery.
