Texans fighting for LSC title at West Texas A&M

THE GAME
No. 15 Tarleton travels to West Texas A&M for the final game of the regular season at the First United Bank Center at 4 p.m.

LSC CHAMPIONSHIP
The Texans are tied with UTPB for the top spot in the LSC. A win on Saturday would give the Texans at least a share of the LSC title. A Tarleton win and a UTPB loss would give the Texans the outright title.

THE BROADCAST
Due to NCAA broadcasting rights with the American Sports Network, West Texas A&M will not be permitted to live stream the event. The only video broadcasts can be seen on the American Sports Network, NCAA.com, the NCAA Sports App, or Tuff TV. A complete radio broadcast of the game can be heard on the Tarleton Sports Network presented by the North Texas Ford Dealers. THE OPPONENT: WEST TEXAS A&M
West Texas A&M is 23-7 and 11-6 in the Lone Star Conference. WT is in third place in the LSC. WT is averaging 87.5 points per game while giving up 79.2 points to opponents. The Buffs are led by junior guard David Chavlovich who is scoring 20.3 ppg, which leads the LSC. Jordan Evans (14.0) also averages double figures. The Buffs are led in rebounding by Ryan Quaid at 5.7 while Chavlovich leads the team in assists with 4.7.

THE SERIES: WEST TEXAS A&M
Tarleton and WT are tied in the all-time series at 24-24 since they began playing back in 1994. Tarleton has won two straight over WT and is 5-15 all time in Canyon.

LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton fell on the road to UTPB 86-74.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton will head to Allen for the Lone Star Conference tournament that runs from March 2-5.
