(March 1, 2017) — Stephenville lit up the scoreboard and lit up Brownwood Tuesday evening at Lem Brock Field.
The Yellow Jackets improved to 4-2 in District 3-4A, winning 7-1 with goals from seven different players.
Tino Rocha opened the scoring with a header on a cross from Kevin Martinez, then Ivan Cabrera took a pass from Aaron Veloz and put one in the net for a 2-0 advantage. It was 3-0 by halftime thanks to a Brayden Perry goal off a cross from Isidro Manzano.
The onslaught continued after intermissio with Veloz assisting on a goal by Elluit Garcia. Veloz then finished his one goal, two assist performance by scoring off an assist from Hunter Melton. The final two goals were scored by Micky Walker on a free kick from Martinez and by Isidro Manzano.
The Jackets are on the road Tuesday, visiting Mineral Wells to begin the final loop through 8-4A. Kickoff at Ram Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
