(March 4, 2017) — Stephenville completed a season sweep of Mineral Wells in both boys and girls soccer Friday, winning the girls match, 4-1, and the boys game, 3-1.
The Honeybees and Yellow Jackets each beat MWHS three times. They have third matchups with Abilene Wylie and Brownwood remaining in 3-4A district action before the state playoffs begin.
Scoring for the Bees were Ciara Johnston, Emily Kirbo, Gracie Bales and Hayleigh Beam.
The Yellow Jackets picked up two goals from Aaron Veloz with the other coming from Tino Rocha.
Stephenville hosts Abilene Wylie on Tuesday with girls kicking off at 5 p.m. and boys at 7 at Lem Brock Field. They visit Brownwood at the same times next Friday.
