Louise Iletha Fails, 82, went to be with our Lord on March 30, 2017, after a long fight with Alzheimer’s/Parkinson’s for over a decade.
She was born on February 21, 1935, to Sam and Lela Phifer of Comanche, Texas. She married her husband of 65 years, Talmadge A. Fails, on June 23, 1951. Louise was a dedicated Christian homemaker her entire life but did work at Sears Roebuck and Co. for over 20 years, of which the last three years she and T.A. owned the catalog store in Comanche. She spent her life loving on her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Louise had many talents of which some were crocheting beautiful afghans, sewing her own clothes, knitting, crosswords, and video games. She would limit herself to 45 minutes each morning before she started her day to playing PacMan or solitaire. She was known her entire life as being a very caring, giving, and compassionate lady.
Louise is survived by her husband, Talmadge A. Fails of Comanche, daughter Melanee Schwartz of Comanche and 3 sons, Tim Fails of Rowlett, Ron Fails and wife, Adrianne, of Dublin, and Kent Fails and wife, Lisa, of Comanche. Also, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Freda Phifer of Granbury.
She was always eager to talk about and show pictures of her grandchildren; Cody Fails and Jarad Fails of Arlington, Brett Fails of Austin, Brad Fails of Dublin, Joe Fails and wife, Jennifer, of Comanche, Brian Fails and wife, Ashley, of Dublin, Tate Fails and wife, Katie, of Midland, Jake Schwartz and wife, Kasey, of Comanche, Seth Schwartz and wife, Randi, of Comanche, Sydnee Schwartz and Sandra Schwartz of Comanche. Louise is also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews, as well as dear friends.
