(April 15, 2017) — Stephenville had a give-game win streak snapped Friday evening, falling 10-6 to Alvarado just one day after its 2-0 upset of 8-4A district leading Midlothian Heritage.

The Yellow Jackets visit Godley at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Stephenville led 3-1 before Alvarado scored five runs in the fifth. They added one in the sixth and three in the seventh. Stephenville scored twice in the bottom of the seventh after entering its last at bat trailing 10-4, but it was too little, too late.

The Jackets had 10 total hits including a 3-for-4 performance by right fielder Cody Storrs. Seth Heupel and Aaron Avila were each 2-for-4, while one hit each was added by Derek Gifford, Trevor Easter and Clay Krause.
