FRISCO – Tarleton women’s golf has a history of dominating opponents on the course and now they’re once again dominating the Lone Star Conference awards.

The TexAnns took home four of the five first-team all-conference awards and four of the five individual awards at the annual Lone Star Conference awards banquet at the Frisco Lakes Golf Club.

Casey Wild has been a star on the golf course and in the class room her whole career and the conference took notice. Wild was named the Lone Star Conference Player of the Year, Academic Player of the Year and is a first-team All-LSC selection.

It’s the first career Player of the Year award for Wild and she has claimed back-to-back Academic Player of the Year awards. Wild is the second TexAnn to win multiple Academic Player of the Year awards, joining Carla Cooper (2010-11). The junior from Australia is the No. 14-ranked player in the nation with a 74.0 scoring average, according to GolfStat.com. Wild has eight top-20 finishes and six top-10 finishes this season.
