Billy E. Green, 62, of Stephenville, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in Fort Worth.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Fritcher and Robert Orosco officiating. Interment will follow at the Duffau Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Billy was born on October 24, 1954 in Big Spring to Newton Leonard Green and the late Joyce Neagle Green. He was a graduate of the Stephenville High School class of 1974 and served in the U.S Marine Corp. Billy worked as a Pipe Handler for Tejas Tubler and was a forklift driver. He also worked in Masonary for many years. Billy loved playing pool, competing in many tournaments and loved to go backroading, where he could look at all the wildlife. Billy also loved fishing, kayaking and listening to classic rock. Billy resided most of his life in Stephenville and attended the Cottonwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include his father, N. L. Green of Stephenville; brother, Leonard Green and wife Etta of Granbury; sisters, Tresia Combs and husband Carter of Mt. View, Wyoming and Nita Dupnik of Stephenville; step-children, Tinker Godfrey-Fick, Frankie Godfrey, and Mark Brower; and an aunt, uncles, cousins; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Green; sister, Mary Jowers, and a special friend, Linda Godfrey.
