TexAnns selected for 11th straight NCAA West Regional appearance

STEPHENVILLE (May 2, 2017) – No. 8 Tarleton golf has been selected to its 11th straight NCAA West Regional Tournament, the NCAA selection committee announced on Monday.

The TexAnns have won nine regional tournaments in its program history, including three straight titles.

The West Super Regional Tournament will be in Wichita Falls, hosted by Lone Star Conference member Midwestern State, at the Wichita Falls Country Club on May 8-10. The TexAnns played at the Wichita Falls Country Club back in March and finished third at the Midwestern State Invitational.

Tarleton is coming off its LSC-record 10th conference title. Casey Wild, the LSC Player of the Year, won the individual conference title.

Dallas Baptist earned the top seed for the regional tournament. California Baptist (2), St. Mary’s (4), Sonoma State (5), St. Edward’s (6), West Texas A&M (7), Academy of Art (8), Midwestern State (9), Cal State Chico (10), Cal State Monterey Bay (11) and Simon Fraser (12) round of the competing teams. Six individuals from non-qualifying teams also will compete in the tournament.

The top three teams and top three individuals advance to the NCAA Championship in Findlay, Ohio.
