Local teams set for baseball, softball playoffs this weekend

STEPHENVILLE (May 3, 2017) — Area softball teams are in the area round of the UIL state playoffs this week, while baseball clubs begin the post season with bi-district action. There are five local teams still competing, and their schedules for the weekend are below. All Game 3 listings are only if necessary:

Softball: Region I-4A area series:
Stephenville vs. Brownwood
All games at Brock High School
Game 1: 6 p.m. Friday
Game 2: 30 minutes after Game 1
Game 3: 12:30 p.m. Saturday

Baseball: Region I-4A bi-district series:
Stephenville vs. Kennedale
Game 1: 7:30 p.m. Friday at Stephenville
Game 2: 2 p.m. Saturday at Kennedale
Game 3: 30 minutes after Game 2

Baseball: Region I-3A bi-district series:
Dublin vs. Jim Ned
All games at Brownwood High School
Game 1: 5 p.m. Friday
Game 2: 30 minutes after Game 1
Game 3: 11 a.m. Saturday
