Gladys Lankerd, 75 of Stephenville, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in Fort Worth.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, July 8th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel.
Gladys was born on May 30, 1942 in Mt. Harris, Colorado to the late Peter and Mildred Etzler Mosher. She worked most of her life in restaurant and housekeeping services, and retired after several years in the Environmental Services at Tarleton State University. She attended the First Baptist Church in Stephenville, and had lived the past 30 years in Stephenville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff Lankerd.
Survivors include her daughters, Katy and husband Matthew Cordes of Stephenville, Opal and husband Tony Smart of Abilene; son, Clifford and wife Carolyn Lankerd of Abilene; brother, Joe and wife Tammy McCartney of Stephenville; son-in-law, Josh Grimsley; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Gladys was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Grimsley.
The Lankerd family wishes expression of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
