Dale King, age 81, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017, in De Leon, Texas.

He was born on April 4, 1936, in Cornish, Oklahoma, to Leslie Lee and Lorice (McKay) King. On November 26, 1983, he was united in marriage to Thirza Xeruda Bristow in Fox, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on April 2, 2017. Dale was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. For many years he was a Tool Pusher in the Oil Fields. He worked for Gustine School District, where he was loved by all the kids, for ten years, and he owned and operated King’s Small Engine Repair in Comanche. Dale was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church in Comanche.

He is survived by three sons, Michael Dale King and wife Kaila of Ringling, Oklahoma, Mark Allen King and wife Debra Lyrae of Denison, and Kenneth Paul King and wife Karen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughters, Ramona Sue “Sissy” Kelley and husband Bill of Burneyville, Oklahoma, and Stephanie Nicole Hensley and husband Charles of Sherman; step-son, Robert Jobe of Healdton, Oklahoma; adopted daughters, Wednesday Henry of Gustine and Amy Garcia and Husband Joshua of Comanche; eighteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Waymon King and wife Shirley of Healdton, and Kenneth King and wife Carolyn of Ringling; sisters-in-law Carrie Hall of Irving, Rachael Thorson and husband Dale of Arlington, and Margaret Keough of Comanche; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Hudson Alexander King; Brother, Donald Ray King; and sisters, Shirley Marie McCleary and Dorothy Chance.
