STEPHENVILLE (August 26, 2017) — Tarleton State is one week from kicking off its 2017 NCAA Division II football season, with the season opner starting at 2 p.m. next Saturday at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi.
The Texans were just 5-6 last season, but this time around head coach Todd Whitten has had a full year of leading his staff through a rigorous recruiting process that has brought a boat load of fresh talent to Stephenville. The 2017 recruiting class was still growing last Monday with the arrival of offensive lineman Cody Hayes, who began his college career at Texas Tech and has since played a season at Navarro College in Corsicana.
Among the new Texans are 23 college transfers – mostly moving up from junior college to a four-year university. The Flash Today has collected links to their Hudl highlight videos so you can take a peek for yourself at just what Whitten and staff have been adding. Each player’s name is a hyper link that when clicked takes you to their Hudl page.
We’ve also included their number, position, classification height and weight. Sports Editor Brad Keith has a couple favorites among them, and would love to know which are yours. HIt up Keith on Twitter @theflashsports and share your favorite link in the group.
