Utah Orr Whiteley, 95, has gone to be with the LORD on September 17, 2017. He was born in Belton, Texas on November 22, 1921 to his parents, Walter Scott Whiteley and Mary (Bounds) Whiteley.
On April 19, 1946, Utah married Mary Mae Richardson, in Stephenville, Texas. They raised three children together, Richard, Lewis, and Joy. Utah was also a veteran of the United States Army, serving in WWII, where he received a Purple Heart.
After the military, Utah worked and retired from Bradberry’s Best after over thirty years. He was also a member of the Washington Street Baptist Church.
Utah was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Mae Whiteley, on October 29, 2008.
He will be remembered by his sons and daughters-in-law – Richard & Barbara Whiteley of Farmersville, Texas and Lewis & Nora Whiteley of Stephenville, Texas; his daughter – Joy Pepper of Mesquite, Texas; his grandchildren – Rhonda Davidson, Tracy Spurgin, Ricky Whiteley, Scott Whiteley, Christy Cozby, Brad Pepper, and Nickie Rainwater; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; his sister – Juanita Rhienhart of Dublin, Texas; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
