STEPHENVILLE (October 1, 2017) – On Saturday, Sept. 30th, and Sunday, October 1, the First Christian Church celebrated being in Stephenville for 120 years.

On Saturday, they held a two-hour music session where musicians performed some really nice songs. The musicians were a combination of past church members, current church members, family and friends. The music session was followed by an ice cream social where everyone was able to enjoy delicious homemade ice cream which was prepared by several of the church members.

On Sunday, they held the morning church service followed by a delicious BBQ lunch prepared by the church’ very own, Jim Hutcheson. The sermon was given by guest, Rev. Dr. Newell Williams, from the Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth.
