STEPHENVILLE (October 2, 2017) – The Stephenville All Stars is a special weekly event set up at the Faith Field at the Faith Lutheran Church each Monday beginning at 5:30 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 30.
In the Fall, the All Stars play soccer and during the spring session, they play tee ball. The All Stars “League” is co-sponsored by the Stephenville Optimist Club and the Stephenville Lions Club. These activities (soccer and tee ball) are set up so that these children with special needs can get out and have some fun, get some exercise and mingle with other children and adult friends. Sherrie Barton of the Stephenville Optimist Club told The Flash that the fall sessions will conclude on Oct. 30th with the children being encouraged to come “in costume” for Halloween and that there will be pizza served that night and awards will be given to the children.
