Bobby Dave Rhoades

(January 10, 1956– October 19, 2017)

Bobby Dave Rhoades, 61, of Bluff Dale, died Thursday, October 19, 2017, in Fort Worth.

Bobby was born on January 10, 1956 in Lubbock to Donald T. and Leota Gay Bramlett Rhoades. He graduated from John Jay High School in San Antonio, and attended college at TSTC in Waco, and Tarleton State University in Stephenville. Bobby served his country in the U. S. Airforce, and spent many years employed with the Department of Defense as an airplane mechanic. Bobby lived several years in San Antonio, Bluff Dale, and the last few years in Fort Worth.

He loved his family, and friends, especially his high school friends. He loved to tell stories. Most of all, Bobby had a deep passion for the outdoors. He loved to hunt, and was eagerly awaiting the opening day of deer season, when an accidental fall occurred, and his death soon followed.

Bobby is survived by his mother, Leota G. Rhoades; daughter, Racheal N. Rhoades; brothers, Don T. Rhoades and Joe N. Rhoades; sisters, Anita and husband David Hale, and Lisa and husband Melvin Kosler; grandchildren, Rosendo Trinidad and Alyssa Trinidad; nephews, Mathew and Andrew Kosler; also a great niece and great nephew; his special friend, Jane Walrath; and his dog, Bubba Dog.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Donald Rhoades in 2015.

Bobby’s desires was to be cremated, and a private family memorial will be held at a later date. Services are under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home.

The Rhoades family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Erath County Humane Society, P. O. Box 2006, Stephenville, Texas 76401.
