AT A GLANCE:
Tarleton Cross Country will compete at the 2017 Lone Star Conference Cross Country Championships hosted by Texas A&M-Kingsville at L.E. Ramey Golf Course
on Saturday Oct. 21.
THE MEET:
The TexAnns will run a 6,000-meter course at 9 a.m. while the Texans will run an 8,000-meter course at 10 am.
RESULTS:

LAST TIME OUT:
The Texans and TexAnns swept the ASU Blue & Gold Classic, with the men racking up 19 points, and the women 22 points. Quenten Lasseter was the top-finisher at the meet when he ran a career best 25:40.70 in the 8,000-meter course. Gretzel Jimenez was the top finisher for the TexAnns, finishing the meet in third-place with a time of 23:29.84 in the 6,000-meter course. Lasseter, Jimenez, and Justin Botello earned LSC runner of the week awards last week for their performances.
REGIONAL RANKINGS:
The Texan and TexAnn cross country teams are both ranked No. 10 in the South Central regional rankings released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The Texans and TexAnns are one of two Lone Star Conference teams ranked, with West Texas A&M men in seventh, and their women in ninth.
