LUBBOCK (November 21, 2017) – Tarleton suffered its second loss of the season as the No. 8 Lubbock Christian Lady Chaps used a big first-half run to put the TexAnns in an early deficit at the Rip Griffin Center Tuesday night. Tarleton lost the game 80-60.

“I thought we played hard but I think our tired showed,” said head coach Misty Wilson. “It showed in our energy, but I was proud of the effort. Our defense did not have the energy that we’ve had the last two days. Our young players came in (late) and competed and played hard until the buzzer. It was really good for them.”

Katie Webster got Tarleton on the board first with a mid-range jumper for the first points of the game and followed up with a three-ball on the next offensive possession for a quick 5-2 lead for the TexAnns. The teams would go back and forth over the opening five minutes as the TexAnns found themselves trailing an 11-10 contest after the first five minutes.
