Rachel Harcrow, born November 11, 1926 in Purdon, Texas to parents George and Murtle (Tipping) Loden, passed away December 23, 2017 in Hico, Texas at age 91. Rachel graduated from LaVega High School, and loved baking and sewing.
Rachel, also known as Mama and Nannie, prized her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rachel was greatly loved by her family and friends, was never to busy to stop and listen, to give a hug and a kiss. She was the mother everyone should have and aspire to be, and will greatly be missed. Rachel was always looking forward to the day she would get to again see the loved ones which have preceded her, in Heaven.
Preceding Rachel in death were parents, husband Arthur Harcrow, son in-laws Chuck Pierce and Gary Wade, sisters Mary Evelyn Beard and Rene Sanders.
Surviving Rachel are son John L. Harcrow and wife Susan, daughters Marion Pierce, Rachel Wade and Brenda Stroud, granddaughters Amy Lowrey and husband Brent, Jonna Anderson and husband Eric, grandsons Robbie Pierce, Shan Pierce and wife Melissa, Jeff Pierce and wife Kelly, Tim Wade and wife Laurie, Brian Harcrow and wife Desiree, Joshua Stroud and wife Keshia, and Micah Stoud. Rachel is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Service Information
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, December 28, at the Harvest Hills Funeral Home, located at 118 Second Street in Hico. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, in the Hico Cemetery.
