FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel.

BURIAL: Albin Cemetery

VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Friday, January 5, 2018.

LUNCH: Lunch for the family will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday at First Baptist Church of Comanche.

W.L. “Bill” Holmsley, age 88, left this world on Monday, January 1, 2018, after 20 years of fighting medical issues.

He was born on October 6, 1929, in Comanche County, Texas, to Larry and Edna (Hicks) Holmsley. He grew up in Comanche and had a passion for softball. On October 7, 1961, he was united in marriage to Syble Ann Caloway in Houston. Bill was a rancher and loved animals, sometimes more than humans. He was a Baptist.

He is survived by his wife, Syble Holmsley of Comanche; granddaughter, Dana McGlone and husband Ron of Winsboro; great-grandsons, Brandon and Kamron McGlone of Winsboro; sister, Joyce Singleton of Comanche; brother Dale Holmsley and wife Janis of Comanche; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, William “Billy” Holmsley and his parents, Larry and Edna Holmsley.
