It wasn’t quite the highest-scoring performance of the season by Corinthian Ramsey, but his head coach says it was his best.

Ramsey scored an economical 29 points and dealt a season-best eight assists while Josh Hawley added 11 points and grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds as Tarleton began the second half of Lone Star Conference play by avenging a one-point road loss to the Aggies on December 7.

Ramsey was economical, going 9-15 fro the floor including 5-9 from the arc and was 6-7 shooting free throws. A combo guard, Ramsey was point most of the night and paced a 52.3 percent shooting effort by the Texans, who were also 38.5 perent form the arc and 75 percent from the foul stripe. Deshawn Riddick also reached double figures despite a rare night  of misfires from the arc where he was 0-3.

True freshman Preston Enloe added nine points off the bench including a 3-pointer to open up a 35-22 lead at intermission. Enloe has hit three buzzer-beaters including another corner 3 to close a half and he became the first freshman in 30 years of Tarleton basketball under head coach Lonn Reisman to finish a contest with a game-winnbasket when he swished one home from the right corner against Eastern New Mexico.

Tarleton limited the Aggies to just 35 percent from the floor, and while three scored in double figures individualy, they all had 10 and no more. Elish Benjamin, Jordan Lewis and Delano Jones each scored 10.
