Nine in jail for possession of marijuana in Stephenville

Arrests also net four guns, one stolen

FLASH STAFF REPORT

STEPHENVILLE (March 15, 2018) – Wednesday evening, Stephenville Police, working with Region 6 Special Operations Group, served a search warrant at approximately 9 p.m. in the 800 block of N. Charlotte Street. The service of the warrant resulted in the recovery of marijuana, four guns (1 of which was stolen) and the arrest of eight people.

According to a release from Stephenville P.D., an officer made a traffic stop earlier in the day that lead to the arrest of Puryear, Eric Robert (White, Male age 25). Puryear was arrested for Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor) and Resisting Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor). This traffic stop and arrest started an investigation by Stephenville PD Narcotics Investigators which resulted in a search warrant being issued for the residence on Charlotte.

The following people were arrested for Possession of Marijuana over 4 ounces under 5 pounds (Class A Misdemeanor):

• Michael James Cole, Jr., 26, was arrested for possession of marijuana, over four ounces but under five pounds.

• Deon Deshay Daniel-Fuller, 23, was arrested for possession of marijuana, over four ounces but under five pounds.

• Brionetae Rumani Irving, 23, was arrested for possession of marijuana, over four ounces but under five pounds.

• Anthony Terrell Laney, 22, was arrested for possession of marijuana, over four ounces but under five pounds.

• Samuel Deon Madison, Jr., 22, was arrested for possession of marijuana, over four ounces but under five pounds.

• Jalen Nathaniel Morrow, 23, was arrested for possession of marijuana, over four ounces but under five pounds.

• Gabriel Simone Young, 23, was arrested for possession of marijuana, over four ounces but under five pounds.

• Samuel Elmarvin Young, 28, was arrested for possession of marijuana, over four ounces but under five pounds.

“This investigation and the resulting arrests were made possible because of the team effort and good work of Concerned Citizens, Stephenville Police Department Officers and Investigators, Erath County District Attorney’s Office and the Region 6 Special Operations Group,” the SPD release said.
