Roberts finishes first day in second while Mainord is 3rd at district tournament


Varsity golfers Kendall Roberts and Allee Mainord are battling for individual medals while both of Stephenville’s teams are vying for a top-three finish at the District 8-4A Golf Tournament being held at Squaw Valley golf course in Glen Rose.

Roberts carded a 76 and is currently setting in 2nd place going into day two. Mainord marked down an 82 on her scorecard and is currently in 3rd place in the girl’s division

Overall the Jackets are in third with a team score of 341 which trails Midlothian Heritage who has a lead of 302 while Godley is in second with a score of 326.

Mainord has paced the Honeybees who trail Midlothian Heritage (343) and Glen Rose 392.
Top 2 teams and the top 2 individual medalist (not on a qualifying team)qualify for the regional tournament.

Kendall Roberts is currently second at the district golf tournament.
