Edmond Lee “Eddy” Thornton

Edmond Lee “Eddy” Thornton, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, in Fort Worth, Texas.

He was born on November 29, 1936, in Gorman, Texas, to Albert and Otha (Williams) Thornton.  Eddy was a United States Army veteran.  On May 2, 1964, he was united in marriage to Ruby G. Kendrick in Comanche, Texas.  She preceded him in death on March 8, 2017.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and his grandson, Brayden Trotter was his greatest joy.  He had an outstanding sense of humor, which kept his family and friends entertained.  For many years Eddy was a self-employed electrician and for seven years worked for Perkins Electric.   He was a big fan of the Texas Rangers and watched every game he possibly could.  He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Lanita Trotter and husband Marshall of Fort Worth; grandson, Brayden Gareth Trotter of Fort Worth; sister, Edith Crownover of Comanche; and brother, Frank Thornton of Llano. He was preceded in death by one son, Terry Lee Thornton, and one sister.
