
STEPHENVILLE – For the third week in a row and the fourth time this season, Blanca Izquierdo has been tabbed the top setter in the Lone Star Conference.
Izquierdo continued to lead the Tarleton offense as the TexAnns went 3-0 and claimed their second straight Lone Star Conference Championship last week. The senior from Spain dished out 72 assists (7.20 per set) for the week and landed four service aces.

With Izquierdo leading the way, Tarleton hit .401 in three matches for the week, including a season-high .442 at Texas A&M-Kingsville on Tuesday. Izquierdo totaled 72 assists, a kill, 16 digs, and had a double-double in Friday’s win over MSU Texas with 32 assists and 10 digs.
Izquierdo and the TexAnns will be on the road to close out the regular season this weekend, beginning in Silver City, New Mexico Friday at 7 p.m. CT against Western New Mexico.
