Hurschel L. Haynie, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, in Conroe, Texas.

He was born on June 3, 1936, in Comanche County, Texas, to Clinton C. and Connie (Vineyard) Haynie.  He was a United States Navy veteran.  On August 20, 1956, he was united in marriage to Mildred Elizabeth Eoff in Blanket, Texas.  For over thirty one years Hurschel worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Hurschel was a very good, honest man who trusted in the Good Lord.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Humble and Hope Lodge #481 in Comanche.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred E. Haynie of Humble; daughter, Betty Fussell and husband Larry of Humble; son, Dale R. Haynie of Humble; three grandchildren: Samantha Grush and husband Ryan of Houston, Dale Ray Haynie of Humble and Riley Fussell and wife Shirl of Conroe; five great-grandchildren: Lillian, Alida, Dylan, Delany, and Demi; brother, Hayes Haynie of Carthage; sister, Lurlene Carr of Arlington; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Clinton Haynie.
